Dyo Koryfes – Assyrtiko / Malagousia

Dyo Koryfes is a sophisticated white wine born from the meeting of two emblematic Greek varieties, Assyrtiko and Malagousia, cultivated in the fertile heart of Lilantio Plain, one of the most historic vineyard areas on the island of Evia. The wine takes its name, “Two Peaks”, from the pair of medieval towers that rise above the plain, silently watching over the land for centuries. These stone sentinels are more than landmarks: they symbolize the balance and strength that also define this expressive blend. The Lilantio Plain, nestled between Chalkida and Eretria, is shaped by its proximity to the South Evoikos Gulf and the interplay of cool maritime winds, sunlit days, and mineral-rich calcareous-clay soils. It is a terroir that imparts both vitality and finesse, giving wines of aromatic precision and structural depth. Vinification begins with skin contact for 24 hours at low temperature, followed by alcoholic fermentation and aging on fine lees for six months in stainless steel tanks. This gentle handling preserves freshness while building complexity. In the glass, the wine presents a bright yellow-green hue. On the nose, the Assyrtiko reveals its typical concentration, sharp acidity, and notes of stone fruits and saline minerality. The Malagousia adds a creamy texture and a fragrant profile rich in tropical fruits—peach, pineapple, mango—and floral overtones. The result is a harmonious and vibrant white wine, marked by balance, elegance, and a long, fruit-forward finish that reflects both the land and the hands that crafted it.
Best served chilled at 8–10°C, this wine pairs beautifully with seafood meze, grilled fish, white meats, light pasta dishes, and Asian-inspired cuisine such as sushi.
